Delve

Overview

DELVE is an eclectic weekend of music, spoken word, workshops and discussions chosen especially this year by guest curator; poet, film and theatre maker Leyla Josephine. DELVE is our invitation for you to dive in, look beneath the surface and join Leyla’s Party at the End of the World (as we know it). Times may be dark but we can still celebrate!

The End of the World

The End of the World (as we know it!)

The Lemon Tree is hosting a festival at End of the World (as we know it) and you’re invited.

Sometimes it can feel like we’re living in a dystopia, things just seem to be getting worse and worse. We’re at the end of world as we know it and we’re not sure what to do. Our guest curator performance poet, theatre and filmmaker Leyla Josephine has rounded up her favourite artists to perform, to help us throw out the old and imagine the new. Join us and dive into DELVE for a weekend of music, poetry, discussions, workshops and live art. Come ask yourself; What should we take with us into the future? And what should we leave behind?

Friday 22 March

Saturday 23 March

DELVE day two is a multi-layered juicy buffet of treats. With an opportunity to write with one of Scotland’s best dystopian writers, a panel on the importance of staying creative in dark times, and finishing off with performance club night Cabaret at the End of the World, the day promises to be an opportunity to think about what kind of world we exist in and what kind of world we want to create. All while celebrating art and imagination in all it’s magic, and of course, having a good dance into the night.
