Merge by Nina Stanger

Through a combination of 3D rendering, augmented reality, motion tracking and performance, this work superimposes an interactive sculptural form in the space directly behind the Music Hall screen, which itself becomes a window into a virtual realm, that’s both uncanny and otherworldly.

Stanger is an interdisciplinary artist, designer and DJ based in Aberdeen. She is currently an MA Communication Design student at Robert Gordon University. Her creative practice combines digital media, sculpture and sound. Her recent exhibitions include RSA New Contemporaries in Edinburgh.

Co-commissioned by Aberdeen Performing Arts and New Media Scotland’s Alt-w Fund with investment from Creative Scotland.
