Meet the Cast

Joe McFadden as Prince Charming

Our handsome hero, who cares not for the trappings of royalty. He is fed up with all the expectations and demands of being a prince, especially the one where he is expected to choose a suitable Princess to marry. A man with his heart in the right place, he is determined to marry for love and nothing else, and would rather meet an ordinary girl who is not attracted to him only because of his regal status. He is a first class dancer, and wants to sweep the love of his life off her feet with his twinkle toes and fancy footwork.

Dawn Steele as The Fairy Godmother

She has flown all the way from Fairyland, which lies just beyond Granite Harbour, to help make Cinderella’s dreams come true. She has a magic wand and a twinkle in her eye, and has been tasked with ensuring that Cinderella finds love and happiness. But her track record with previous panto princesses like Snow White and Sleeping Beauty hasn’t gone exactly to plan – look what happened to those two on her watch! So, she is determined to get it right for Cinders… or she won’t be able to return to Fairyland with her head held high.

Alan McHugh as Baroness Heifer McHardup

Heifer is loud, brash, rude, daft, with a heart of gold and a wardrobe full of phenomenally fantastical frocks. A poor wee widow wumman, following the annual comically tragic death of her husband, she and her wee lassie, Cinderella, struggle to make ends meet as McHardup Hall crumbles around them.

Paul J Corrigan as Buttons

Everybody’s best pal, and the life and soul of every occasion.  A loveable numpty, Buttons is the last remaining servant at McHardup Hall, and is a jack of all trades and absolute master of none! He works at McHardup Hall for nothing, so he can be close to Cinderella, with whom he is secretly in love, but cannot pluck up the courage to tell her.

Danielle Jam as Cinderella

Our heroine. A feisty local quine who is determined to make the most of the hand life has dealt her. She is scared of nobody, especially her two wicked step-sisters, who are determined to make her life a misery. She never lets them or her circumstances get her down, and truly believes that better days lie ahead for her and her mum.

Julie Coombe and Helen Logan as the Wicked Sisters

They are constantly infuriated when everyone mispronounces their names Eye-lid and M’hairy!

A pair of money-grabbing, man-hungry monsters, they are the daughters of the Baroness’s latest husband who was last seen boarding a bus to Dundee… and was never seen again! They thought they were being introduced to a life of luxury, unaware of the poverty-stricken circumstances at McHardup Hall. They take their frustrations out on Cinderella, but she and Buttons always get the better of them. When the Royal Ball is announced, they make it their mission that by hook or by crook, one of them will marry the Prince!
