Take A Step – Lemon Tree
Help the Lemon Tree “step” into the future and sponsor one of the 25 steps between the Lounge and the Studio. For £200, you can show your support to the Lemon Tree and display that support on a unique plaque with your own message for everyone to see.
The Lemon Tree is the venue where so many local or emerging artists start their careers, where young people start their journey into the arts and there is so much history within its walls. This is your chance to be a part of that story.

How to Sponsor a Step
– Click on “Tickets” near the top of this page
– Select the number of steps you would like to sponsor then “Continue”
– Two text boxes will appear – please enter the number of steps you would like to sponsor in the top box. This is so we can accept the £200 as a donation instead of a payment, and therefore claim the Gift Aid, where possible.
– Click “Continue” once you have selected to make the donation.
– Click “Checkout”.
– Under the Additional Details section, enter the message you would like to see on the plaque, limited to 50 characters.
– Click “Continue” and follow the rest of the steps.
– Complete your purchase!
– You will be sent a certificate by email from the Box Office once its ready, and we will also arrange for a photograph to be taken of your plaque when it’s in place, which can take up to 6 weeks.
Terms and Conditions
- Naming a step is a charitable donation, and does not entitle you admission to performances, nor does it guarantee you a seat at a performance when booking tickets.
- Dedications and plaques can not be made without a donation of £200. If you checkout without making the £200 donation, your dedication will become invalid and we will contact you for payment of your donation.
- Donations to sponsor a step directly support Aberdeen Performing Arts which is a registered charity (SC033733), which means that your donation will be eligible for Gift Aid. This means that your donation will be topped up by 25% from HM Revenue and Customs. By agreeing to Gift Aid, you are confirming that you are a UK taxpayer and that if you pay less Income and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid on all your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference. Gift Aid will be added to this donation, any donation made in the future or made in the past 4 years to Aberdeen Performing Arts. Please notify Aberdeen Performing Arts if you want to cancel this declaration, change your name or home address, or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.
- It can take up to six weeks to install your plaque – we will let you know when it has arrived.
- Steps are subject to availability and cannot be changed once payment has been received.
- Pay no attention to the date listed on the event, this is only so that we can allow you to select your own seat to purchase online.
- Steps are allocated in order of bookings received. Once all 25 steps are filled, we will close bookings.
