Legendary musical Guys & Dolls to come to His Majesty’s Theatre

A new and exciting production of legendary musical Guys & Dolls is coming to Aberdeen’s His Majesty’s Theatre Tuesday, June 1 to Saturday, June 5, 2027.

A collaboration between Aberdeen Performing Arts, the Lyceum in Edinburgh, Eden Court, Dundee Rep and Glasgow’s Citizens Theatre, Guys and Dolls will bring together the best Scottish creative talent for this major new all-singing, all-dancing production, set to tour the country in 2027.

Aberdeen Performing Arts Chief Executive, Sharon Burgess, said: “This is a classic, beloved musical, re-imagined for the modern day on a national scale with teams from across the country coming together to support new work with the very best in Scottish talent on board.
“The whole process has been a fantastic creative opportunity. We are so proud and excited to be a part of it and see this wonderful production brought to life on stage.
“To see it set out on tour is a thrill, and we hope to give it a fantastic welcome to HMT when it stops off in Aberdeen.”

Directed by The Lyceum’s Artistic Director James Brining, Guys & Dolls is full of heart, humour, and irresistible swing.
From the streets of 1950s New York to the heart of Havana, step into a world of big bets and bold characters. Follow a cast of gamblers, showgirls and dreamers as they chase luck, dodge commitment, and discover that love doesn’t always play by the rules.
At its heart, two love stories unfold in unexpected ways, reminding us that sometimes the biggest gamble is falling for someone.

Tickets are on sale to Friends of Aberdeen Performing Arts on Thursday, June 11 and on general sale on Tuesday, June 16, available from www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, phone (01224) 641122 or visit the box office at His Majesty’s Theatre or the Music Hall.
