There’s only two maps, Map 1 and Map 3, that have a building in the North-east.
For Map 1, if the journey began from the left hand side then the big building would in fact be on your left and the little building would be on you right, just as the bartender explained. You would turn a corner to the left, then carry on past a couple more buildings before arriving at the North-eastmost building.
However, he says the path is a STRAIGHT one.
